You Versus the Constant Bluffer.....
If you are against a constant bluffer, how do you deal with it? There are a number of ways, but one is this: allow him/her to do the bluff, then go on raising him at a level which should frighten him off. Usually, these would be those occasions when the outs are few or the pot's amount is big enough. If all you would get are a few blinds, don't attempt to stop his bluff act. It is a common thing that bluffers get bankrupt fast when they call those raises against them. First time, they would expect that you have a monster holding. Second time, they would start becoming wary. Succeeding times, they would be frightened off and then you can relax. You can think "constant bluffer annihilated".
From here on, if he/she puts in a wager, you could be confident that it is no longer a bluff and that he/she really has a competitive hand. You have influenced his game, and that should be good from your end. Every once in a while, this would boomerang. If the opponent concerned is an excellent bluffer, then you should think more analytically. An excellent bluffer is somebody who does it only if an advantage would accrue to him, as opposed to somebody who bluffs just for the sake of doing it.
